Major Oak is more than a coaching company. We work with schools to plan, deliver and assess the best PE curriculum possible.
Our unique approach to the National Curriculum for Physical Education is to ensure that the core curriculum is focused on skill development and measured improvement. To do this we use yearly learning objectives in a range of sports. Children focus on the same core sports each year to develop a deeper skill base and understanding of tactics and strategies.
Children are assessed each lesson to measure their progress and the scheme of work is designed to ensure that lessons are flexible to maximize each child's learning potential. Assessment is recorded through the TLG-PE system, which means that every pupils attainment can be tracked for their entire school life.

Our team will produce an individual school PE strategy (a requirement of the school sport funding) which Major Oak's qualified coaches will deliver. Our coaching team will deliver the full games, gymnastics and dance curriculum for your school, giving your existing staff the opportunity to watch, participate and deliver a fantastic PE curriculum in the company of a qualified and experienced PE Coach. We will work with your existing teaching and support staff to improve the knowledge and confidence in the delivery and planning of all aspects of the PE curriculum.
By using professional, qualified coaches to deliver your PPA lessons, you can ensure that your pupils are receiving high quality PE Lessons each and every week.
Our coaches are able to facilitate registration, class handovers and end of day procedures to ensure the class teachers can spend their full allocation of PPA time away from the classroom.
